Adidas unleashed the next phase of speed on Thursday with the unveiling of the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 – the brand’s lightest and fastest Adizero shoe ever that only weighs an average of around 97 grams.
The shoe improves running economy by 1.6 percent over its predecessor and Adidas says the model will be worn by its athletes at Sunday’s London Marathon.
“Our goal was two digits on the scale, with better performance than we’ve ever had,” Stephan Scholten, Adidas vice president of product said.
The Adios Pro Evo 3 is underpinned with Lightstrike Pro Evo foam, a “carbon-integrated system” for stiffness and stability, ultra-lightweight upper and is built to disrupt the supershoe landscape.
The Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 will be available on April 25 for $500 in limited quantities.
