Olympians Aliphine Tuliamuk and Emily Infeld have signed contracts with Brooks just a day after Josh Kerr announced he signed an extension with the brand, the company announced on Friday.
Tuliamuk and Infeld will bolster the brand’s distance efforts that already includes Des Linden, Erika Kemp, CJ Albertson, Jess McClain and Colin Bennie. Meanwhile, Brooks has also added John Rivera to the Brooks Beasts roster.
Tuliamuk revealed in late December that her contract with Hoka NAZ Elite was not renewed amid major changes with the group that also saw its coach and founder, Ben Rosario, leaving the team.
Rosario later announced a reboot of The Marathon Project, which will now be an annual event beginning in December.
Tuliamuk is recovering from hamstring surgery that was performed on December 24 after noting that she was dealing with a year and a half of ailments and non-surgical treatments.
“I’m thrilled to announce my partnership with Brooks as I start my next chapter,” Tuliamak said in a statement. “I can’t wait to compete at the highest level of this sport with Brooks there to support me as I take this step forward.”
She last raced at the New York City Marathon in November and finished 19th place in 2:32:10 and noted that her hamstring issues affected her performance.
Meanwhile, Infeld announced her departure from Nike after 12 years in December. She won bronze in the 10,000m in the 2015 World Outdoor Championship.
“It feels great to be a part of such a supportive running community and feel welcomed by everyone at Brooks,” Infeld said in a statement. “I am excited for the next few years and feel lucky that I can attack both my track and road goals with their support.”
Rivera, on the other hand, now joins standouts Kerr and Brandon Miller as a member of Brooks Beasts. He also competes for Puerto Rico and ran for Ole Miss in college.
“I’m beyond excited to join the Brooks Beasts, a team I truly believe is among the best in the world,” Rivera said on social media. “Being able to train with elite athletes every day is incredibly motivating, and I know we’ll push each other to new heights. I’m looking forward to this next chapter with Brooks as I chase my biggest goals yet, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.”
