The energy was contagious at last Saturday’s Nike Cross Nationals regional meet in Wappingers Falls, NY.
How could it not be?
Schools from the Northeast and New England states gathered for a showdown if cross country powers in similar scenes that played out at other regional events nationwide. But the intensity stayed consistent and teamwork was a guarantee that not a drop of action would be left behind. Sean Russell was immersed in the scenes that unfolded like pure running theater and broke down some of what keeps prep talents returning to compete week after week.
