Through the Lens: Day 3 at the World Indoor Championships

The final day of action at the World Indoor Championships on Sunday in Nanjing, China meant a host of new — and defending — champions would be crowned as the quest for the podium was all that mattered while a dwindling indoor season finally came to an end.

In total, 12 finals were decided, as the 4x400m relay squads of the United States dominated in commanding wins, while Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay claimed gold in their respective 1500m races. Devynne Chariton brought another title back to the Bahamas with a women's 60m stunner, as Prudence Sekgoaiso won South Africa’s first women’s world indoor medal with a win in the women's 800m.

Team USA's Josh Hoey edged out a victory in the men's 800m, Norway's Sander Skotheim topped the men's heptathlon, Australia's Nicola Olyslagers soared in the women's high jump and New Zealand's Tom Walsh won his third title in the men's shot put.
