Saucony and Estudio Niksen have teamed up on a textured take on the retro-inspired Trainer 80 that combines minimalism with thoughtful touches that have transformed the silhouette into a piece that feel more like an art project than footwear.

The Trainer 80 gets major updates in this collaboration but still retains the essence of its late 1970s roots and is outfitted with brown suede along the lower portion of the upper, with textured ripstop on the rest of the the quarter with an exaggerated zig-zag stitch pattern on the Saucony logo.

The model gets pops of color with three included laces in yellow, brown and white that can be worn all at once or two (and of course one) that will easily draw eyes to the shoe. Meanwhile, this iteration of the Trainer 80 heavily reflects the notion of unique apparel from the design-focused Estudio Niksen, which was founded in 2021 by Andrés Barrios and Gabrielle Gagné in Montreal. The brand is also known for it outerwear, accessories and pieces for the home.

The Saucony x Estudio Niksen Trainer 80 is available now via Estudio Niksen.
