January makes it arrival in time for the summer months — and miles — with the debut of the Scignal daily trainer that shows up to redefine the formula of performance running.

The brand, founded by Wei-En Chang, is on a mission to bring a fresh take to run culture and the industry with sacrificing quality or function.

Scignal rides on a plush serving of KineXion midsole foam at 36mm stack in the rear with an 8mm drop up at the toe, recycled engineered mesh along the upper, reflective detailing, flat laces and a honeycomb tongue while microfiber suede panels add an extra touch of styling. A padded collar keeps the back of the foot locked in and supported in every step and the Scignal launches in three colorways: Morning Mist, Desert Bloom and Twilight Fog.

The company notes that the Scignal was built as the “most comfortable, efficient, stable and lightest daily training shoe in the industry” since high volume shoes in the market were simply too heavy and tall. At first glance, the Scignal walks a detailed line of performance with retro running shoe styling cues that make this model a solid fit for high volume mileage, a casual stroll or a worthy fashionable lifestyle option.

The Scignal arrives in August for $195 via January.
