Tracksmith claims its place in the high stack trainer arena with the arrival of the Eliot Ryder this week — the fourth shoe from the brand — and puts a stamp of the company’s declaration of “understated style, unparalleled performance.”
Riding on a generous serving of supercritical stabilizing midsole foam for a plush ride with 44.5mm of stack at the heel that drops to 37.5mm up front, the Eliot Ryder also has the biggest drop-in midsole in a performance running shoe — a 25mm ultra-responsive supercritical ATPU foam.
The upper is a light but durable engineered woven mesh that is supportive and breathable, while rubber net mesh outsole ensures a confident amount of traction and a planted ride in each step. Suede stabilizing overlays also make sure the foot is centered over the footbed. With four colors ready at launch (ivory, navy, wine, grass) the Eliot Ryder easily straddles the fine border of daily trainer putting in work on the run and lifestyle shoe that is fashionable on a casual stroll.
