The organizer of the race said on Tuesday that reports of an injured motorcycle police officer led to vehicles on the course being diverted.
Jess McClain addressed the race mishap on social media and said “someone needs to care enough to do something.”
Sharon Lokedi and Hellen Obiri will face off again, Abel Kipchumba goes for three straight, while Grant Fisher makes his half marathon debut in New York on March 15.
