USA Track & Field announced on Tuesday that CEO Max Siegel has been named to IBJ Media’s list of its most influential leaders in Indiana for 2026.
“I am honored to be included among such an accomplished group of leaders who are helping shape Indiana’s future,” Siegel said. “Indiana has long been home to innovation, collaboration and opportunity, specifically in the area of Olympic sports. I am proud that USA Track & Field is part of that story.”
Siegel has been the CEO of USATF since 2012 and has pushed the organization to over $500 million in revenue while its athletes have thrived on the Olympic and world championship stages in his 14 years. USATF’s budget has also expanded under his watch and he led a bid to secure massive 23-year contract with Nike that began in 2014 and is valued at an estimated $500 million in cash and product.
In 2024, USATF took on leadership duties of the U.S. Paralympic track and field program in a move that not only united both organization but also assured that athletes under a single body would access to the same level of resources and support.
Siegel’s contract with USATF runs through 2028.
This year’s list honors 84 people with nearly 60 being recognized for the first time with the group divided into 10 categories (Civic Leadership, Energy & Agriculture, Financial & Business Services, Hospitality, Arts & Entertainment, Law, Life Sciences & Health Care, Manufacturing, Logistics & Transportation, Nonprofit & Education, Real Estate, Retail & Construction and Technology & Media).

IBJ Media launched the Indiana 250 program in 2022, and 84 leaders have appeared on the list all five years.
