Millrose Marauders: An Indoor State of Mind

From the sound of the starter's pistol, race after race, the united gaze of the action on the track was a signal on Sunday that it was time to join the running hive mind.

And through another iteration of the Millrose Games, anticipation was converted into raw competition as emerging talents put existing stars on notice that the future wasn't far — it was in full exhibit in a preview of the next elite stewards of the sport.

At viewpoints near the race surface, from above and unique corners, photographer Dave Hashim tied art with timed results and emotion that evoke a sense of stillness in realizing that the sport is reborn in every step. While few ideas are new, the notion persists that the window for the new generation of track phenoms is alive — and thriving.
