Fleet Feet named Jason Jabaut as its president on Wednesday as part of a series of moves aimed at boosting its executive ranks of the run specialty operator.
The retailer also made a trio of promotions within its lineup and added four new hires to round out the adjustments to its corporate team.
Jabaut will take over marketing and digital duties while also heading up vendor management and franchise operations.
“Our success has always been driven by the dedicated teams in our stores,” Jabaut said. “As president, my focus is on deepening alignment across our teams, giving our stores the support they need and bringing the Fleet Feet experience to more customers.”
Fleet Feet is the largest run specialty retailer, with 294 stores across its franchisee network, as it continues an ambitious expansion plan that has included acquisitions, opening new locations and doubling down on catering to a consumer base that continues to grow as the sport remains popular.
Jabaut, who is a 20-year veteran of the company, has served as chief operating officer of Fleet Feet since 2021 and has full backing from the brand to help lead its push into a new phase of dominating the running retail space.
“Jason understands Fleet Feet from the inside out and has earned the trust of our entire organization,” Joey Pointer, CEO of Fleet Feet said. “He knows our people, our partners, and what’s made this brand special for 50 years. He’s a proven leader and the right person to guide our next chapter of growth.”
The company also announced that Dani Tiltgen would be promoted to its senior vice president of human resources after serving as vice president of the department, while Matt Werder was elevated to senior vice president of retail operations and Stacey Donley will be moved up to vice president of merchandising and supply chain.
Meanwhile, Fleet Feet welcomed four new hires with Mike Druta joining as vice president of data analytics, Blake Bommelje coming on as director of information security, Maddy Eppli heading over as director of strategy to assess growth opportunities and lead cross-functional initiatives and Jesse Isola taking on the director of customer retention role.
The strengthening of its roster echoes its ongoing drive to broaden the brand and included a target of opening its 300th namesake store by the end of the year. Fleet Feet closed 2025 with 284 locations but its Marathon Sports stores, which it acquired in 2022, grew from 28 stores last year to 32 in 2026 as its reach in the New England states endures.
