Brooks reported on Friday that it rode a strong wave of sales in its best first quarter in the history of the brand and has claimed top market share in performance running footwear at specialty retail in the United States.
The Seattle-based company said that “runner-first focus power” pushed sales up 23 percent and was driven by a massive 136 percent year-over-year jump in China, with 20 percent growth in North America, as Europe, the Middle East, and Africa saw a 30 percent rise in currency-neutral increases.
“I’m incredibly proud of the progress we made in Q1 to launch new innovation into the market and introduce our brand to more runners around the world,” Brooks CEO Dan Sheridan said. “Across product, experiences, and how we show up for the sport globally, our teams are executing at the highest level and earning runners’ trust every day. Our record quarter is proof our long-term strategy is resonating.”
The first quarter boost came with some notable highlights within the product lineup among its mainstays, like the Glycerin, Adrenaline GTS, and Hyperion families. The Hyperion Elite model grew a staggering 114 percent over the same time last year, with the Hyperion Max up 64 percent to push the Hyperion roster up 32 percent overall.
The Glycerin franchise rose 34 percent, with the Adrenaline GTS rising 31 percent and the new Cascadia Elite moving up 59 percent in the quarter.
Brooks also said that, internally, it revised its leadership and operating structure as the sportswear maker looks ahead to the next step of its long-term growth, with scaling beyond the U.S.
Meanwhile, the brand continues to find its footing at retail, as the company claimed the top spot at specialty stores in the U.S. with around 20 percent market share for the 11th straight quarter—as core franchises ranked as three of the top five styles in the period.
In Germany, Brooks saw 24 percent growth, with France up 15 percent over the same time in 2025.
Apparel also soared, with a 33 percent increase over last year, as the Dash collection, Chaser padded bra, and Convertible bra led the charge, with buyers reaching heavily for the base layer.
The company also noted that its professional athletes have major strides in their sights, with Josh Kerr set to target the mile world record this summer in London as part of his Project 222, after winning the men’s world indoor 3,000m championship in March in Poland.
The brand’s athlete roster got a jolt during the quarter as marathon standout Clayton Young signed with the company, along with European trail and mountain runner Théo Detienne
