Nike has unveiled the next iteration of its Mind 002 shoe in “Pure Platinum” colorway that gets a wholesale transformation with a Flyknit upper that takes cues from the Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design collab of the silhouette in March that also included his take on the Mind 001 model.
For this latest version, the Mind 002 stands on its own and leans away from the darker hues of Fujiwara’s take on the Mind shoes and brightens the palette significantly with a clash of white, gray and a somewhat subdued shade of Nike’s signature volt yellow.
The Mind 002 stands out with its soft knit upper that benefits from a careful attention to details in stitching and accents that make the shoe feel more sock-like — and cozy — to ride along with the notion of taking in the mission of sensory awareness. Embedded in the bottom of the midsole are the Mind’s identifiable 22 nodes that are meant to stimulate a sense of calm and being in the moment.
The Nike Mind 002 Flyknit “Pure Platinum” will arrive on May 27 via Nike.
