The Nike Mind duo of sensory-enhancing shoes were a noticeable on foot sensation when they were released late last year and now the second wave of drops see the slide and sneaker return with “mindful” updates and new colorways.
With the Mind 002 “Pink Smoke” flavor, the sneaker iteration rides on a distinct grouping of 22 independent foam nodes on the outsole that not only feel plush but help stimulate receptions in the feet. In turns, a sense of balance and focus are promoted and enables the feel of being locked in whether it’s before competition or taking on the challenges of the day.
The “Pink Smoke” colorway is a deep shade that is a blend of red, magenta and scarlet that give this model a monochromatic sense of stealth that was not totally present on earlier Mind models and the foam nodes are also present in a similar hue that is more cohesive in this presentation.
According to Nike, the shoe has gotten a co-sign from the American Podiatric Medical Association as a model that helps promote good foot health.
The Mind 002 “Pink Smoke” arrives on July 23 for $145 via Nike.
