Adidas unveiled its next generation of footwear to sport the Boost moniker on Thursday with the introduction of the Hyperboost Edge, a max cushion, stacked model that boldly combines lightweight feel with high energy return.
At just 255 grams, the Hyperboost Edge arrives as the ultimate non-plated trainer in the Adidas performance roster and rides on the freshly revealed Hyperboost Pro foam that the company says offers “maximum cushioning but with no compromises.”
A chunky 45mm stack at the rear and just 6mm drop up front keeps the run bouncy, cushioned and encourages the next step forward — while being wrapped in a Primeweave light and soft women upper. Without a carbon plate, Adidas says the Hyperboost Edge — namely its midsole — work more easily through the mechanics of a run, while still driving every step.
Even with high performance runs in mind, the Hyperboost Pro foam is “optimized” for different types of runs as a daily roller or stacking up a high mileage session.
The Hyperboost Edge drops on March 17 for $200 with additional colorways arriving on May 1.
