On is continuing to boost its retail footprint globally and revealed on Thursday that it opened four new stores in California with two set for Brazil.
The company said the stores will better connect with California’s “vibrant athletic and outdoor communities” and are now open in San Francisco, Corte Madera, San Diego and Los Angeles, while two stores in São Paulo, Brazil arrive on July 30 and August 6.
“California’s movement culture is unmatched, driven by passionate communities that live and breathe active lifestyles,” Dan Schade, vice president and general manager of the Americas for On said. “Expanding our retail presence in California allows us to deliver premium, personalized experiences and equip athletes and movers for the road, trail, studio and court. From San Francisco to Los Angeles to San Diego, our stores are designed to serve as active hubs for anyone pushing their limits.”
The San Francisco store is on Chestnut Street and a short walk from the water in the city’s Marina District, while the San Diego location is positioned within a popular outdoor shopping center with upmarket retailers and features and open, airy floor plan.
Meanwhile, the Corte Madera location fits the vibe of Marin County’s outdoor community and On says that store design is inspired by Northern California’s redwood trees and trails. In Los Angeles, the Century City store finds its place among several shops in the large, open-concept shopping mall with an intentional brutalist styles contrasted with “sweeping curved walls, polished concrete and linear lighting.”
The new California stores will employ 20 to 30 workers each be roughly 2,800 to 4,000 square feet of actual retail space.
São Paulo will be the home of the brand’s two locations in Brazil at JK Iguatemi, which opens July 30, and MorumbiShopping will see customer traffic on August 6. On said both stores will reflect the city’s unique architectural elements with JK Iguatemi drawing from the easily recognizable stone brutalist construction of SESC Pompeia, a cultural and social center that was converted from a former factory.
On now has more than 70 physical locations globally and also opened its first store in the United Arab Emirates on the ground floor of Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates last week. It is the third On retail outpost in the Gulf Cooperation Council region after a Riyadh store was unveiled in Saudi Arabia in October 2026 and the second in that market opened in Kuwait in February.
According to On, nine additional stores in the region are in the works over the next two years.
