  • On Athletics Club has launched OAC Sprint in Los Angeles under coach John Bolton.
  • Max Thomas, Samirah Moody, Johnny Brackins Jr. and Benjamin Azamati will be the first sprinters on the roster.
  • Johnny Brackins Jr. provides multi-event versatility across jumps, hurdles and sprints, boosting OAC Sprint's tactical depth.

On Athletics Club announced on Tuesday that it has launched OAC Sprint, an elite Los Angeles-based group that will train under coach John Bolton with a focus around ” precision, power and the pursuit of speed at its highest level.”

Max Thomas, Benjamin Azamati, Samirah Moody and Johnny Brackins Jr. will be the first athletes on the new sprint-focused crew.

OAC Sprint is the fourth team in the OAC family and joins OAC Global in Colorado, OAC Europe in St. Moritz, Switzerland and OAC Oceania in Melbourne, Australia. The new group will be sprint focus with Bolton’s guidance and will have the supported of Harrison Smith as they build the first crew of four athletes into a growing team like the other branches of OAC.

Thomas takes on the 100m and 200m and is fresh off of a men’s 4×100m relay championship gold in Gaborone, Botswana earlier this month. He was the men’s 100m runner up in last year’s NCAA Championships while competing at USC.

Moody is the 2025 NCAA championship in the women’s 100m and was also a teammate of Thomas at USC and reached the women’s 100m semifinal at the USATF outdoor championships in Eugene.

Azamati competes for Ghana and has run the 60m, 100m and 200m, while Brackins Jr. is a standout in the long jump and hurdles. Brackins Jr. won the 2024 men’s long jump title at the USATF outdoor championships.
