Nike unveiled its Chicago Marathon collection ahead of the next fall major on October 12 and runners can expect a capsule that is both colorful and distinct from what we’ve typically seen from other big race merch offerings.
The collection is available now on Nike’s website and features pieces that include singlets, a visor, sweatshirts, jackets, shorts, pants and even a race-specific colorway of the Vomero 18.
The collection is anchored by the ADV Running Singlet that is a standout piece that seems like far more effort was put into the design — and theme — instead of slapping a corporate sponsor logo on an uninspired concept and simply expect for it to fly off of the shelves at a marathon expo. This year’s singlet strikes the right balance of fashion and unique functional keepsake from the race.
An additional flavor of the Vomero 18, Nike’s current workhorse trainer, appears in several shades of blue with race branding and arrives as yet another color choice to go along with the model’s other dozen or so options.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of tees, hoodies, half zips, pants, jacket, shorts and hats to ensure that there’s something for anyone looking to grab a piece of this year’s race. The designs are a bit less inspired than the singlet, but the Nike-sourced graphics are not as rigid as the official Bank of America top logos that will appear on official signage during marathon week.
Headwear joins the part as well in the form of a trucker hat and visor (which is already sold out) and it seems like the only thing left our of the collection is socks. The snapback trucker hat is a rich blue that matches the Vomero 18 color way and will probably be easier to get at the race expo since it’s likely won’t last long online.
Rounding out the collection are a mix of split shorts, pants and standard length shorts, with nearly all items in the race capsule being sourced from the bits in Nike’s 2025 running stable that don’t stray too far outside of the box.
The Chicago Marathon collection is on sale now at Nike’s website and all items will also be available at Nike’s retail space inside of the the marathon expo from October 9-11.
