Garmin Forerunner 70 and 170

The entry-level run watch offering from Garmin is now split into two distinct models and are loaded with features that are a successor to the Forerunner 165.

Garmin unveiled its newest entry-level running watches on Tuesday with the introduction of the Forerunner 70 and 170 models.

The base options in Garmin’s lineup is now split between two options with the 70 sporting 1.2-inch AMOLED display, touchscreen, five-button controls and built-in GPS among other features.

The 170 is packed with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, touchscreen, five-button design, health tracking along with barometric altimeter, compass, gyroscope and thermometer sensors. A music variant of the 170 is also available.

Both models will be available on May 15 and the Forerunner 70 is $249.99, Forerunner 170 is $299.99 and the Forerunner 170 Music is $349.99.
