The Whitaker Group and Adidas connect again with the latest offering from their continuing collaboration with a pair of Evo SL models from the “Do Not Duplicate” series.
For Adidas the popular trainer gets another fashionable reimagining after drop from Pharrell, Labrum and TUNE have helped blur the lines of performance running, lifestyle and footwear art.
But with the “Do Not Duplicate” pack, James Whitner and his team push the Evo SL into a setting based around sunrise. Tasteful and eye-catching gradient colorways are hard to miss and separate the Evo SL from its siblings in the Adidas lineup and bring distinct pops of a handful of shade that simply work in this application.
The first model is bathed in a mix of yellow, orange, peach and white along the upper (and midsole) and rides on a frosty light turquoise on the rubber as a base. The second shoe takes an opposite approach and stands apart with a mix of black that fades into gray and a darker tone of salmon across the upper.
Performance is still priority for the Evo SL and the shoe continues to boast a lightweight setup on a full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole, with 38mm stack at the rear and a 6mm drop and no carbon plate. Light and breathable is a main part of the Evo SL mission and a breathable mesh upper keeps things cool while the model stays grippy courtesy of a trusted Continental rubber outsole.
The The Whitaker Group x Adidas Evo SL “Do Not Duplicate” pack will hit retailers on April 17 and available exclusively via A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB and JAIDE.
