Nike ACG gave a glimpse of its next terrain dominating shoe on Thursday with the Picklejus, that arrives a long distance workhorse that is purpose-built to push 100 miles and beyond in the mountains.
Taking a step beyond its ACG siblings, Picklejus gets an assortment of what excels off of the road, with downhill protection athletes combined with uphill efficiency and propulsion that is essential for extended missions in the mountain without sacrificing performance or protection.
The Picklejus moniker is a reference to the sodium and electrolyte boost from pickles that is said to be in valuable in tackling muscle cramps on the road and on unpredictable surfaces. Nike even designed the shoe’s rocker profile to resembles the shape of a pickle.
In look far deeper than just the Picklejus name, the first co-molded, dual-density supercritical foam platform for trail running — GOATEK — is tasked with managing the ride while a trail-tuned Flyknit upper is constructed with ensuring a rationed balance of surging up hill and roaring down hill while remaining protected.
The ACG Picklejus will be available in late 2027 via Nike and select retailers.
