Ferg heads back top his native Harlem to introduce Flo Fair, a wellness experience that shows the community love in the fitness space

Ferg is well aware that the responsibility of repping Harlem is duty — a birthright and something he has upheld since bursting on the scene as a solo artist in 2012.

On his shoulders is a legacy of artists who arrived decades prior, the importance of the hustle along with a style of fashion that is distinct to his part of the city.

A Mile. A Minute. caught up with Ferg to discuss the inspiration behind Flo Fair, which kicks off on Thursday, August 14 at Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park — and is a celebration of wellness and music, which starts with a 5K run at 9 a.m. led by celebrity stylist Kwasi Kessie.

The two sons of Harlem talk culture, the legacy of Ferg’s father, D Ferg and even potential marathon aspirations for Ferg in the future.
