The Fanatics X Factor: Merch, Collectibles, Betting — And A Deep Network of Stars

Fanatics Fest landed during a summer sports bonanza in New York and proved the only play is to run up the score.

Alongside a New York City sports backdrop simmering from the Knicks championship run and the World Cup, Fanatics Fest landed with a mashup of many of the biggest names in entertainment, media, pro wrestling and every sports league.

Now in its third year, and even bigger, the convention is an unabashed ode to sports fandom, betting, collectibles — and a living testament to Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin’s deep connections and his ability to woo so many of them into a single space.

Despite the young age of the event, it has grown into summer stop for attendees and carefully hit a spot on the calendar on the eve of a World Cup final just miles away at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.

Even with a packed Javits Center and a sellout of all four days, it’s easy to assume the event will grow as the demands of the crowds hoping to attend will ultimately mirror those in the sports universe who want in on the action next year.
