USATF unveils its roster for the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championship
Team USA will send 57 athletes to the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland next week, on a stacked roster set compete among more than 500 seeking to end the indoor season with gold, silver or a bronze.

USA Track & Field announced its full athlete roster that will compete at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland later this month, as the country’s top runners, throwers and jumpers look to close the season with a fresh batch of hardware.

The group includes a 57-member quad that will be among more than 500 competitors from over 130 member nations headed to Torun, Poland in 27 disciplines from March 20-22.

Meanwhile, 21 athletes from the roster will make their debut on a national senior team for the U.S. in a global championship, while six medalists from last year’s indoor world championships in Nanjing, China are returning.

Olympic champion Cole Hocker leads the way for the men and will seek his first indoor title when he competes in the 3,000m. Just weeks ago at the USATF indoor championships in New York in March, Hocker pulled off a stunning come from behind victory at the distance with a final lap surge. He will be joined by fellow 2024 Paris Games medalist Yared Nuguse in the quest for a 3,000m title.

Teen phenom Cooper Lutkenhaus will also be in the mix as part of the 800m field, while Jordan Anthony and Trayvon Bromell likely bring the same infusion of energy from their exciting 60m indoor nationals showdown over to Poland.

Khaleb McRae grabbed the world record in the 400m in 44.52 in February, grabbed the indoor title in New York earlier this month and now turns his focus to the bigger stage, as Dylan Beard and Trey Cunningham will likely be factors in the 60m hurdles final.

Jacious Sears is among several headliners for the women’s group as she carries her national championship momentum in the 60m in what could be a world title performance. Anna Hall will make her world indoor debut in the pentathlon where she holds the two highest scores in American ever, while Jasmine Moore will double up in the triple jump and long jump — winning bronze in both events at the 2024 Paris Games.

Both relay and mixed relay pools are positioned to be part of the medal conversation in their respective races with the women (Abigail Glynn, Shamier Little, Paris Peoples, Sara Reifenrath, Taiya Shelby and Brianna White) and men (Elija Godwin, Steven McElroy, Jevon O’Bryant, Justin Robinson, Demarius Smith and TJ Tomlyanovich) getting the nod to join their squads after solid early season showcases.
